Summer Thoughts

Hi! :)

I know it has been ages since my last post, I’m so sorry! I have been crazy busy lately and to be honest, I haven’t really had that much inspiration as usual.

I went on holiday with my family for about two weeks, which was quite nice. I also have been planning moving out to another country next month, and I’m so nervous/excited about it. I’m still waiting for an accomodation offer though. I’ll have news of my application at the end of the week. :)

Since I haven’t done Songs Of The Month posts for a while, I thought I’d share some of my favourite songs at the minute. Here we go:

  • Tears by Clean Bandit feat. Louisa Johnson
  • Good Grief by Bastille
  • Alive by Khai
  • Basically Kygo’s whole album
  • Kill Em With Kindness by Selena Gomez (my queen <3)
  • Life Itself by Glass Animals
  • (Starving by Hailee Steinfeld & Grey feat. Zedd, which I’ve only just listened to very recently but fell in love with)

I graduated as well (as you can probably tell by me rambling about university). As always, I watch Youtube videos daily – starting to get into some local ones, too. Another thing, I’ve read some good books this summer so far, currently I’m reading The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson (but haven’t got that far into it yet).

Finally, yes, I got into the Pokemon GO hype as well. I enjoy it a lot, especially because it gets me outside more. Now I’m not that lazy (haha).

A picture I took on holiday. (Venice)

That’s all for now, again, I’m sorry to have disappeared. Have a great day!

Christmas Is Coming! | Blogmas Day 18

Hi! :)

I am here with a little update, because I didn’t have that much time to write a post I would have liked to write for you today.

The winter break officially started for me today! Yay! I have waited for this moment to finally arrive for so long. I’ll have a two week long Christmas holiday, which I am very excited about! My plan is to sleep a lot, because I haven’t been able to do that lately, so it should be nice. I also want to watch lots of Christmas films, because I haven’t had time yet, which is a shame. I always planned to watch movies in the afternoons after school, but I ended up preparing for the next day or just trying to relax.

There’s less than a week till Christmas! Blogmas is almost over, but I still have a few posts on their way, I can’t wait to share them with you. I hope you’re having a lovely day! See you tomorrow!

Holiday Stress | Blogmas Day 10

Hi! :)

Holiday stress is something we have to deal with every year around Advent season. People stress the most about buying or making the right presents in time. Most people leave Christmas shopping until last minute, which is the main reason why stress forms. At the same time, the older you get, the more you stress in my opinion. Even me, at still a young age notice the difference between when I was a toddler for example and being a young adult right now. When you’re a child the only thing you possibly stress about is the toy that you can’t find anywhere, then after a certain time you find it on the couch or on the floor somewhere in the house. On the contrary, as you age, you have to think about what your loved ones would like to get for Christmas and so on.

However, I think you can still survive the holidays without stressing so much. You have to start shopping right about now, this week, as simple as that. As long as the timing is right, you won’t have that typical holiday stress and you can enjoy the period leading up to Christmas a lot more.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post! It was a bit different, but I am a person who is generally stressed about everything, so of course, I always have to deal with the holiday stress myself. Although I decided to change up my technique so that I won’t have to rush to a bunch of stores to get the exact presents I want to buy. I thought it might be useful to share what my thoughts are and my tips might even help some of you. Have you ever had holiday stress? Can you deal with it? Let me know in the comments below! See you tomorrow!

Update | Blogmas Day 9

Hi! :)

Since I haven’t talked to you properly about what has been going on, I thought today is the perfect time to share a little update with you.

Firstly, I have my advanced English language exam! I was so nervous about it, when I went to write the different types of tests and especially the speaking part about two weeks ago. But I finally am so relieved to have it now! One step closer to university, yay! I did an IELTS exam if anyone’s interested. This exam is usually the only one, which British universities accept, so I had to do this language exam so that I have the possibility to go there as well.

I also am getting so excited for Christmas! Day by day, it is getting much harder to go to school, because you know that Christmas is around the corner and you can’t wait for the holiday break.

You probably do not even care about what I am about to write about, but I got a four (B in the USA) for a biology chapter test. The topic was genetics, which I was really not feeling confident about, but lots of practice paid off. My maths chapter test was the same, it really left me happy and that the studying I try to do is actually working sometimes.

Anyway, that was it really, I just wanted to give you a bit of an update. What is going on in your life right now? I’d be interested to know if you have something nice to share. I hope you enjoyed this post, even if it wasn’t that Christmassy. See you tomorrow! :)

This picture is taken by me. It’s a cute magnet I got for Christmas. I could not leave it in the shop, haha.

I’m Back

Hi! :)

I’m back! I have just got back a few days ago from my holiday and finally got to meet my family whom I haven’t seen in a long time. My time in the USA was incredible and I couldn’t be more thankful for getting the opportunity to go there again. It was so nice to spend some time with those whom I don’t see often. I spent the last few days just relaxing and mostly sleeping, really. Jetlag is defeating me this time, which is unusual, and I constantly feel like I could fall asleep anytime throughout the day.

In case you were wondering, I spent my time mainly in Indiana, but spent a couple of days in West Virginia as well. We also went to Washington D.C for a day, which was amazing. Experiencing 4th of July there was unbelievable, especially because we were watching an about four-hour fireworks show, which was created by our neighbours. As usual, I went a bit overboard with taking pictures, so I have a lot more than a thousand photos, ooops! I will put some in this post as well, so you can get a sneak peak of how my holiday looked like. Oh, and the One Direction concert was WONDERFUL! I loved every second of it. Most likely there will be another post of the concert soon, so keep your eyes open for that if you’re interested! Continue reading I’m Back
