I started this blog to share my opinion on things that I enjoy talking about and to document some of my memories in written posts as well. I love writing, so I thought creating a blog would be an amazing opportunity to improve my English since I'm Hungarian. Check out my blog if you're interested, you're always welcome!
Have a nice day! x
My music taste has changed a lot throughout the last couple of months and I caught myself enjoying genres that I hadn’t really been into before. You’ll probably see that in this list as well if you’re familiar with my other ‘Songs Of the Month’ posts on here. I have been listening to K-Pop non-stop since the end of last year, which also opened up a whole new world for me music-wise, and unknowingly pushed me to listen to a lot more hip-hop songs, too.
Here is the long list of tunes I’ve loved and listened to lately, obviously without any particular order:
Feels – Calvin Harris feat. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry & Big Sean
Don’t Wanna Fall In Love – Kyle
Okey Dokey – MINO & Zico
Man Of the Year – Leroy Sanchez
Feel It Still – Portugal. The Man
Keeping Your Head Up – Birdy (Don Diablo Remix)
Faking It – Calvin Harris feat. Kehlani & Lil Yachty
Came Here For Love – Sigala feat. Ella Eyre
The Devil You Know – X Ambassadors
Secrets – The Weeknd
Slide – Calvin Harris feat. Frank Ocean & Migos
Walls Could Talk – Halsey
HUMBLE. – Kendrick Lamar
I Like Me Better – Lauv
Monster – EXO
Dilemma – Homme
Eureka – Zico feat. Zion.T
Heaven In Hiding – Halsey
There For You – Martin Garrix feat. Troye Sivan
CRZY – Kehlani
Sorry for the overload, I know it’s a lot, but there’s even more – which I won’t bore you with haha. Let me know if you like any of these songs, I’d love to know! :D
Staying motivated is something we all need in order to achieve our goals. However, it can often be a real struggle to keep that mindset up and running. I know that based on my own experience alone. Today, I would like to let you in on some of my tips and advice for success in keeping up your motivation.
No matter what hardships you might face along your journey, don’t give up! Keep trying! A lot of the times, we loose all our motivation when something goes wrong. However, the complete opposite of that would be the correct thing to do. If you stop trying, you’ll never achieve your goals.
One of my favourite quotes is “You only fail when you stop trying.”, and it’s so true, I can’t even emphasize it enough. Keep this in mind!
Think of your goal!
You should never forget what your first intention was! If you don’t feel like you’re heading towards being successful, just think back of what you want to achieve and the reason behind it. Be determined enough not to give up!
Never doubt yourself!
Don’t ever say that you can’t do it, because it’s not true! You can achieve anything you set your mind to, but it requires a lot of time and effort. Being negative and pessimistic won’t help you moving forward, trust me! Try to be as optimistic and inspired as possible, even in your hardest situations!
You CAN do it, the struggle won’t always be there with you! There’s always something positive at the end of the day – remember to STAY MOTIVATED! :)
That’s all from me today, I really hope you liked reading this post and got something away from it. Sorry for being so inactive (and always saying sorry for it), but I didn’t disappear, I’m still here! :)
Personally, Valentine’s Day isn’t a big deal for me. However, it definitely draws attention to the fact that me and a lot of other people in the world are single – therefore we should feel sad about it. BUT it shouldn’t be like that! You can enjoy Valentine’s Day even if you’re single. Here are some of my tips to show how you can turn it into a Me Day instead of the day of feeling insecure and bad about yourself.
Get out there and buy some chocolate for yourself!
There’s nothing bad about treating yourself every once in a while. Let’s visit the corner shop and buy some of your favourite snacks so you can enjoy them later in the day! I know I wouldn’t mind doing this and it actually would make me feel a lot better.
2. Burst out your fave music when you’re home and have a nice time!
I absolutely love listening to some of my favourite bands and artists when I want to feel happy. No matter what, this always gets me in a great mood. You can even invite your friends and have some fun together.
One of the best past time activities in my opinion is reading. It lets you zone out for a while and you only focus on what’s happening in the book, not on the world around you. If you don’t have any book in your possession right now, then let’s head to the nearest book store and buy an interesting one! My favourite genre is contemporary, but I recently read a historical fiction book as well (The Book Thief), which I really liked.
4. Spend some time on Youtube!
This is a go to for me whenever I want to spend some time. Watching Youtube videos is entertaining for everyone, since there are so many different types of content on there. It allows you to kill some time as well, and you won’t even notice that the whole day is gone, trust me!
5. Try to cook or bake something!
Last, but by no means least, I would like to recommend cooking and baking for you. Even if you don’t feel confident in any of them, you can find very easy recipes out there, you just have to look for them. This is such a relaxing activity and it can be a fun time, too. You can listen to music in the process of baking a cake or cooking some dinner, or even an audiobooks or podcasts. I enjoy cooking alone, since in a way, it’s some ‘me time’ as well. This way you can take a small portion out of your day and relax a bit while making something delicious. You can even brag about the outcome on Instagram later, but that’s not necessary, just an idea, haha! :D
I really hope you enjoyed reading this post and got something from it! My main point is, Valentine’s Day is just a regular day after all, and everyone can enjoy it, not just those in a relationship. You have to take care of yourself and don’t feel bad about not having someone special in your life at the moment. Someone will come when it’s the right time, so don’t stress about any of it!
I haven’t done one of these in a while and I miss them! So now, here I am with all of my favourite songs that I listened to throughout January – although not necessarily new tracks. Also, they are not in any particular order! :)
Party Monster – The Weeknd
Cool Girl – Tove Lo
All Time Low – Jon Bellion
Final Song – MØ
Jealous – Labrinth
Woke The F*ck Up – Jon Bellion (Acoustic)
Move Your Body – Sia (Single Mix)
Shape Of You – Ed Sheeran
Human – Jon Bellion (Acoustic)
Castle On The Hill – Ed Sheeran
Desire – Years & Years ft. Tove Lo
I Feel It Coming – The Weeknd
That’s it. I know it’s a bit longer than usual, but I genuinely listened to all of them a lot. As you can see, I discovered Jon Bellion last month and listend to him quite a bit. I can’t believe that I only found out about him this year, it’s insane! He is really great and talented, check him out if you haven’t heard of him yet!
As usual, I’m in love with both of Ed Sheeran’s new songs, they are amazing. I also had a bit of a throwback session with Labrinth, Tove Lo and MØ songs, which felt so good.
This is all for now. Let me know what your favourite songs of January were! See you soon! :)
At the end of last year, I decided to order some new books off of Amazon, since I finished reading all the books I brought to Denmark. I managed to buy them for a very reasonable price. Four of them are completely new books, and the remaining three are used books, but in nice condition.
I already finished Let It Snow and The Christmasaurus in December, since both of them are holiday themed novels.
The next one I read will probably be Will Grayson, Will Grayson by John Green and David Levithan. One thing I have always wanted to do was reading all of John Green’s books, and by reading Will Grayson, Will Grayson, I will complete that “dream” of mine. I’m very excited! When I finish it, I might even do a post only focusing on JG books.
After completing the book mentioned above, I would like to read The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri. The fist aspect I noticed was its cover, but acquiring some information about its story and seeing reviews of it, I thought I’d buy it. I’m really interested in it, since I haven’t read anything compared to it yet.
Then, the ones left are Holding Up the Universe by Jennifer Niven, The One We Fall in Love With by Paige Toon and finally Girl Online Going Solo by Zoe Sugg.
I read All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven before, which to be honest wasn’t my favourite. Although, upon hearing a lot of great things about her new book, Holding Up the Universe and all the hype around it, I thought I might as well give it another shot. We’ll see how it goes.
As most of you know, Zoe Sugg is a British Youtuber under the name Zoella, and she has created a book series called Girl Online. This one in the picture is the third one in line and I can’t wait to read it. I had no problem with her previous ones – unlike many other people – so I was excited for it to finally come out. It came out November, 2016.
I don’t think I have ever heard of any of Paige Toon’s books, but I might be wrong. I think this book either turned up in my Goodreads or Amazon recommended and the story caught my attention. I’m looking forward to reading it!
I know it might seem surprising to see a new post from me since I have been gone for months. However, I am back and can’t wait to share the things that are going on in my mind with you this year!
Happy New Year, let 2017 be the best year of your life yet!
As usual, I have been super busy with uni and a new chapter in my life abroad. It took all my time and energy, and to be honest, I didn’t feel that creative back then either.
Although, I gained a lot of amazing new friends and made some great memories last year, which I am thankful for.
My birthday was possibly the best ever yet, thanks to all the people who made it beautiful. Also, my festive feels started in October and didn’t stop until after Christmas – coming home for winter break was definitely part of that, too.
Living in Denmark is very nice so far, I really like being there. I am going back soon and hopefully end the first semester with highs, so I can start the second one being content.
That’s it for now, I hope you have a wonderful day! :)
I honestly don’t know how consistent I will be. My most recent post was already 2 months ago. Sorry everyone, I seem to be very busy with uni and my life abroad. Life is all good though, so don’t worry, I’m okay.
I’ve been already listening to Christmas songs since the end of September, so you might call me a bit obsessed. Although, it’s never too early to look forward to Christmas in my opinion. :) And Pentatonix will release their new Christmas album next week! I’m bloomin’ excited!
Some songs I’ve been enjoying lately:
Season 2 Episode 3 – Glass Animals
Body Moves – DNCE
24K Magic – Bruno Mars
Starboy – The Weeknd ft. Daft Punk
Christmas (Baby Please Come Home) – Michael Bublé
Hair – Little Mix ft. Sean Paul
Fire – BTS (Yes, I might be slowly getting into K-Pop, who knows)
The Currents – Bastille
Also, the day before my birthday, on November 18, 3 of my favourites’ albums will be released, so I can’t wait. Best birthday present, I guess. :)
I’m getting used to living in Denmark slowly but surely, which is a good sign. I like living here, although the weather is a tricky part of this whole thing. I like my school too, but we have a lot of projects with which is really hard to keep up.
For now that’s all, I’ll try my best to post something soon! ;)
